Michigan Governor Stripped of Power to Enforce Mandates – Why are the People of Michigan Still Obeying Her?

Last week the Michigan Supreme Court struck down Governor Whitmer's "legal" basis for practicing tyranny on the citizens of Michigan in the name of a "pandemic." Justice Stephen J. Markman, on behalf of the majority in a 4-3 majority that fell along party lines, wrote: “We conclude that the Governor lacked the authority to declare a ‘state of emergency’ or a ‘state of disaster’ under the EMA after April 30, 2020, on the basis of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, we conclude that the EPGA is in violation of the Constitution of our state because it purports to delegate to the executive branch the legislative powers of state government– including its plenary police powers– and to allow the exercise of such powers indefinitely. As a consequence, the EPGA cannot continue to provide a basis for the Governor to exercise emergency powers.” Whitmer had extended the "emergency orders" which had been in place since April, until near the end of October, and probably had every intention of extending them indefinitely. A few days later, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that she would no longer enforce the Governor's edicts. And while Nessel stated that her decision, as the highest law enforcement official in the State of Michigan, was not binding on other law enforcement agencies, several sheriffs throughout Michigan had already stated they would not enforce her edicts before the Supreme Court even ruled on them. And The Detroit News reported that the Michigan Chiefs of Police Association was going to follow the Attorney General's lead. "If the attorney general says it’s over, then it’s over," said Bob Stevenson, executive director of the association. But Governor Whitmer has decided she is still in charge and apparently above the law, as yesterday she issued new mask mandates and other mandates on public gatherings in a desperate attempt to remain in control of the public as their Tyrant in Chief. So the only thing now forcing people to obey the edicts of Whitmer, is the will of the people themselves. To you U.S. Citizens living in Michigan, what are you going to do now? You now have the law on your side, and your Governor does not. Will you continue to obey her as slaves, or stand up and exercise your freedoms? The entire country is watching you now. Michigan Department of Health Tracking Student Vaccination Status in Violation of Federal Law

The group Michigan for Vaccine Choice has sent a letter to parents in Michigan informing them that the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) are violating federal law (FERPA) by transferring private medical records about minor children, without the consent of their parents, regarding each student's vaccination status into a vaccine tracking database.

Mother Faces Jail for Defying Judge’s Order to Vaccinate her Son

A metro Detroit mother is facing jail time for defying a judge's order forcing her to vaccinate her child. Rebecca Bredow is not anti-vaccine; she consented to have her son vaccinated in the past, but was concerned about giving him too many vaccines at one time. Her ex-husband agreed with her at the time, but now he has allegedly changed his mind, and sought a court order to force her to vaccinate their son. Rebecca is the primary care giver of the child. Judge Karen D. MacDonald has ordered the child to be vaccinated, and has allegedly threatened the mother with being put in jail for failing to comply. Speaking to reporters with WXYZ in Detroit, Rebecca states that she prefers sitting behind bars than forcing her son to receive so many vaccines.

Thomas More Law Center Files Federal Lawsuit Against Michigan for Denying Parental Rights to Vaccine Exemptions

The Thomas More Law Center (“TMLC”), a national nonprofit public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, MI, has filed a federal lawsuit against State and County officials and employees seeking to stop a State-sponsored religious inquisition of parents who have religious objections to State vaccination requirements. TMLC brought the law suit on behalf of Tara Nikolao, a devout Catholic, registered nurse, and mother of four. Mrs. Nikolao objects to vaccines manufactured from aborted fetal cells and other vaccines on religious grounds. Her lawsuit claims that government employees violate the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment, the religious protections in Michigan’s Constitution, and a Michigan statute when they subject parents to detailed interrogation about their religious beliefs. When Mrs. Nikolao explained that she had a religious objection to vaccines, the health department employees demanded that Mrs. Nikolao explain her actual reason for objecting. Despite Mrs. Nikolao’s repeated insistence in the face of berating questions from State employees that her personal religious beliefs did not allow her to vaccinate her children—a belief that the Michigan legislature enacted a statute to protect,—the health department employees would not accept her religious objection and insisted that no religions object to vaccines. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (“MDHHS”) instructs local health department employees to implement this religious examination and inculcation by providing county employees with a document to “teach” parents their faith. The document entitled “Religion” is used as a tool by county health departments to coerce and trick parents with religious objections to vaccines into vaccinating their children.

Dr. Michelle Davis Wants Medical Tyranny and Forced Vaccinations in Michigan

Dr. Michelle Davis has become the latest extremist pro-vaccine doctor to propose removing parental choice regarding vaccines, by eliminating the philosophical and religious exemptions currently in place by law in the State of Michigan. As we have previously reported here at Health Impact News, most of the nations doctors do NOT hold the extremist pro-vaccine view that ALL vaccines are safe ALL the time for EVERYONE and should be given to ALL children, by force if necessary. Why Some Michigan Parents Choose not to Vaccinate Their Children

So who are these parents who want to refuse vaccines for their children? The mainstream media generally portrays these parents as "anti-science, ignorant, foolish, etc." It was refreshing, therefore, to read an honest journalistic piece on this topic on the "Michigan Live" website which actually interviewed some parents who exercise their lawful rights to refuse some vaccines. In contrast to the predominantly one-sided media reports labeling all parents who refuse vaccines as "uneducated," here is a description of the parents refusing vaccines based on demographic data in Michigan: Statewide, about 6 percent of Michigan schoolchildren have vaccination waivers, which equates to about 150,000 children who are unvaccinated or undervaccinated. Many are clustered in affluent communities such as Rochester, and have well-educated, health-conscious parents who buy organic food and eschew antibiotics in favor of a homeopathic approach to illnesses. They fear injecting so many viruses into their children could do more harm than good, and see widespread immunizations as being driven by "Big Pharma," which they see as more concerned about profits than public health.
