Why is the FDA Fast Tracking Squalene as a Flu Vaccine Ingredient for Seniors?

The non-profit National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) is questioning the basis for the fast tracked licensure by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of a squalene-adjuvanted influenza vaccine for use in seniors over age 65. The Novartis MF59 adjuvanted Fluad vaccine was approved for accelerated licensure by the FDA Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) on Sept. 15, 2015 primarily using limited immunogenicity and safety evidence from a small clinical trial in which only about 1,000 healthy Americans over age 65 were given the adjuvanted vaccine. Although MF59 is bioactive and designed to stimulate a strong immune response, FDA does not require that vaccine adjuvants be proven safe in a placebo controlled trial and they are not licensed separately. Fluad will be the first influenza vaccine licensed in the U.S. containing squalene, a controversial oil in water adjuvant that has been linked with development of autoimmunity, narcolepsy and other immune and neurological disorders.

A new study this week found no link between vaccines and autism. It instantly made headlines on TV news and popular media everywhere. Many billed it as the final word, “once again,” disproving the notion that vaccines could have anything to do with autism. That potential conflict of interest was not disclosed in the paper published in The New England Journal of Medicine; the study authors simply declare “The Lewin Group operates with editorial independence.” When the popular press, bloggers and medical pundits uncritically promote a study like The Lewin Group’s, it must confound researchers like Lucija Tomljenovic, Catherine DeSoto, Robert Hitlan, Christopher Shaw, Helen Ratajczak, Boyd Haley, Carolyn Gallagher, Melody Goodman, M.I. Kawashti, O.R. Amin, N.G. Rowehy, T. Minami, Laura Hewitson, Brian Lopresti, Carol Stott, Scott Mason, Jaime Tomko, Bernard Rimland, Woody McGinnis, K. Shandley and D.W. Austin. They are just a few of the many scientists whose peer-reviewed, published works have found possible links between vaccines and autism. But unlike The Lewin Group’s study, their research has not been endorsed and promoted by the government and, therefore, has not been widely reported in the media. In fact, news reports, blogs and “medical experts” routinely claim no such studies exist.

California Online School Expells 7th-Grader Over Vaccine After Dad Leads SB277 Referendum Effort

Scientists state that there have been no cases of wild polio reported in four out of the six regions of the world being targeted in the vaccine-program since the 1990s, and the only cases of polio that are being reported are those of VDPV caused by the OPV vaccination. The oral polio vaccine was banned from use in the United States in 2000. The reason for this ban was because too many children were developing vaccine associated paralytic polio (VAPP) as a serious side effect of the oral vaccine. When you hear about 'outbreaks' of polio in foreign countries, the first question you should ask is, 'Are they using the oral polio vaccine?' and the answer is usually, 'yes.' If children in the US were getting VAPP as a significant side effect of the oral vaccine, why wouldn't this occur in other countries where children are receiving the oral polio vaccine, and health conditions may actually be worse for them there, than they are in the US? U.S. Government Withholds Vaccine Injury Data: Rolls Out “Vaccine Confidence Plan” Instead

NVIC regularly monitors meetings held by federal vaccine advisory committees, including the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) and the National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC). In recent years, information about compensated vaccine injury claims published in the VICP Data and Statistics Report has changed - but not for the better. This report prepared by DHHS officials continues to provide limited insight into vaccine injury and death awards, despite the fact that federal law states the public has a right to additional information, much of which is presented in bits and pieces during ACCV meetings. While DHHS gives some of this information to the ACCV on a quarterly basis, the information is not as meaningful as it could be because of the way it is presented in ACCV meetings and on the VICP’s website. There is no ability for the public, or the ACCV for that matter, to connect the dots between vaccine injuries compensated by vaccine and condition over time, or to determine the reasons and any associated trends on why petitions are dismissed and claimants are denied compensation.

Whenever the FDA signals that it is ready to grant marketing approval for a new vaccine or drug, the first step for the pharmaceutical company’s marketing department is to promote an “educational” advertising campaign designed to instill fear in parents (and their pediatricians) about the horrible illnesses (albeit previously unknown, benign or rare) that even us doctors hadn’t yet recognized as being significant up until recently. The way proponents of vaccination are trying to use the herd immunity concept to entice people to vaccinate is false and misleading and simply irrelevant. It is well-documented that vaccinees develop vaccine-targeted diseases straight from the vaccines (smallpox, typhoid, polio, pertussis measles), usually after the first dose. Right from the beginning of any mass vaccination, outbreaks of any targeted diseases occurred in the vaccinated. In all countries with national vaccination programs, all vaccine-preventable diseases experienced deranged age distribution. The present situation is that in all developed countries with high vaccination compliance epidemics of pertussis, measles, mumps, etc. occur with increased frequency and magnitude in small babies, and, in the older vaccinated. Natural infectious diseases of childhood (both mortality and morbidity) were on the downward trajectory 50 years before any vaccines were administered in mass proportions. The main reasons were better nutrition (especially better vitamin C status), sanitation, clean water and uncrowded living conditions. The documented fact that even with 100% vaccination compliance major measles epidemics occur means that vaccines are totally ineffective in providing any herd immunity. Rhode Island Representative Tells Health Dept. to Stop HPV Vaccine Requirement for Middle Schoolers

Rep. Justin Price, R-Exeter, is asking the Rhode Island Department of Health to rescind its mandatory requirement that all students, beginning in the 7th grade, receive the HPV vaccination. The Department of Health recently added the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine to its list of mandatory vaccinations for school age children beginning in the 7th grade. "I am singling out this particular requirement for a variety of reasons. I Want my Daughter’s Life Back the Way it was Before Gardasil

My daughter turned 15 in February of 2015. Once she had lots of friends and participated in many activities both in school and at home. She did Irish dancing from 4 years of age, played football for her parish and county, and was awarded 2nd place in the world handwriting competition. She was great in school. In short, she was healthy, active and happy. All of that changed shortly after she got her first injection of the HPV vaccine, Gardasil in October 2012. By November she started having seizures. Since then she has had chest pains, vision problems, non-epileptic seizures, low blood pressure, inflammation of the stomach and small bowel, reflux, is very tired and has no energy. She has a pulse rate that can go up to 216 just walking 10 feet, or 178 sitting down. No words can express how I feel about all of this. I just want my daughter’s life back the way it was before she got this injection. I want the support of our health system. I want them to do whatever tests and treatments necessary to help her recover her normal life.
